Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck one of my favoriter quarterbacks and one of the best in NFL, resigned this year at age 29. Even if Colts isn’t my team I realy loved to see him at the field. But to many injuries made him choose his health before more money and fame. Even if he was still capable to play and sign further million dollar contract.
The ability to listen to our body and say no is not only for athletes though. It’s for all of us. You might not get physical beaten at work every day, but you might feel that you played on overtime.
When stress effects our sleep, body, mental health because we don’t take time for recovery is time to say no before is to late. Because the price is to high to keep on pushing and take more beating. Unfortinately is pain the biggest motivation for change.
Even if you have good coverage from the rest of you team, and they love to see you at the field. And You want to be loyal and do your best. You have to listen when the body says no, and change the way you play the game. Because some games can only be played ones.
I admire Andrews decision and wish him Good Luck!
